Woman reuses leftover KFC chicken and gravy to recreate the legendary KFC Pie

All those 11 secret herbs and spices mixed into one delish hot pie!

It's no secret that Kiwis love a good meat pie. And it's been a good while since KFC pies were on the menu in NZ - almost ten years in fact!

So when one woman in Australia worked out how to recreate her own homemade version of a KFC chicken pie and shared it to Facebook - the reaction went as wild as you'd imagine!

Laurel Clark, from Bundaberg in Queensland, had some leftover KFC chicken and gravy from their weekly takeaway treat, and decided to challenge herself to recreate her husband's favourite KFC item.

"My husband liked the KFC pies (when they were available) so I decided to make him some," Laurel posted to a pie maker fanatics group.

Her pie consisted of ten KFC chicken tenders, one large pottle of KFC's potato and gravy, and a few sheets of frozen shortcrust pastry.

"Mix potato and gravy together, cut up tenders. I put 1/2 tablespoon of gravy mix then tenders then more gravy on top. Cook for 8 minutes and yummo."

So get out your pie makers friends (or grab one from Kmart!)

Laurel told taste.com.au: "I'm making him Zinger pies this weekend."

YUM.
