How to use ChatGPT to make a custom action figure of yourself

Now I want one IRL!

Ever wondered what an action figure of you would look like? Yeah, nah - until now.

You might’ve already seen the little boxed versions of your mates, complete with accessories, during your daily scroll.

No, they haven’t signed a deal with Mattel or Hasbro - they’ve just used ChatGPT to make it happen.

Everyone is jumping on the trend, but heaps of us have been left scratching our heads about how to create our own version.

TikToker and hairdresser @honest.hair.bynicola has gone viral for sharing the exact prompt she used to make her realistic mini-me.

You’ll first need to have an account for Chat-GPT 4.0 - it’s not free, so you’ll either need to subscribe or call in a favour from a mate who already has it.

Once you’ve got that sussed, upload a few pics of yourself. The more the better, especially if you want it to nail your features.

It’s not so great with female features - we have no clue why - so a variety of snaps will help.

Nicola shared her prompt, and it’s super easy to follow:

"Please create an image of an action figure in packaging. The packaging should be labelled ‘[YOUR TITLE TEXT]’ with a smaller subheader that says ‘[YOUR SMALL TEXT]’.

Make the packaging [YOUR COLOR CHOICE]. Use the attached photo for the character’s face and body.

He/She has [YOUR FEATURES] and comes with [YOUR ACCESSORIES]."

Once you’ve got your first version, you can keep tweaking until your mini-me is spot on.

Some users are even branching out and turning themselves into vinyl figures, bobbleheads, and even knitted dolls.

Here’s what my workmate created, and one that I’m really considering getting made for real.

It’s weirdly addictive - and honestly, kind of wholesome seeing everyone's variations.

Just don’t be surprised if your camera roll ends up full of mini versions of yourself and your mates.
