Dunedin's foodie scene is serving up one of the most strangely unique dishes we've ever seen, and we're sending our brave team to dig right in.
Pearl Diver's "Shiny Fella" isn't your usual takeaway dinner. Inspired by a 70s Edmonds Cook Book aspic recipe, it's a wobbly, feline-shaped gelatin sculpture packed with all sorts like peas, boiled eggs, gherkins and luncheon meat.

Believe it or not, no one's dared to order this jiggly cat just yet – but that's about to change.
Next Wednesday, our very own Cal and Yas are travelling to tackle the crook culinary masterpeice that is the "Shiny Fella".
The strange dish was first discovered by Kiwi TikToker Jay K-D Knight, who asked: "Uber Eats Dunedin, wtf is that?!?"
Gobsmacked at the $85 price tag and the fact it can feed four people, Jay laughed in concern.
The comments were flooded with curiosity, with one person writing: "I haven't stopped thinking about this dish since this video first came up."
"That's cursed," wrote another.
A third added: "That's the best and worst thing I've ever seen."
Why haven't we heard of anyone trying this yet?! Well, Shiny Fellas aren't exactly flying out the kitchen window, they need some hefty preparation - 24 hours to be exact!
So, what will Cal and Yas think when they finally devour the Shiny Fella, only time will tell!
