They’ve just released a new ‘Choc Orange Cookie’ in time for the silly season, and when I heard this I was SALIVATINGGG.
Subway knows I'm a die-hard devotee and so they sent some my way. When they arrived on my doorstep, my prayers were answered.
With a dark, rich exterior like their Double Choc Chip cousin and bright orange flecks peeking through, I knew this was going to be good.
The first bite? Instant childhood flashback to orange chocolate chip ice cream.
The promised chewy bite of every Subway cookie with a few choc orange lollies made for a magical texture, and I’m all for it. Trust me, microwave it for 15 seconds. You're welcome.
On the all-time Subway Cookie Leaderboard, this one sits at #2 just behind White Chocolate Macadamia (an untouchable icon, sorry).
I wasn’t the only one who got to try these new cookies, with a couple of other trusted reviews coming from those around the office.
Jacob said he “didn't know I needed Jaffa vibes in a cookie 'till now, definitely up there with the double choc which is my go-to.”
Sam, said: “I honestly forgot the choc orange combo existed until it made a triumphant return to my mouth via a delicious Subway cookie. Made me remember what a perfect pairing it is - a flavour I'd actively avoided since attempting to eat five scoops of orange choc chip ice cream about 15 years ago and subsequently becoming very unwell. Cheers.”
Cate also agreed with my ranking, saying “It was good orange to choc ratio but I still think the white choc macadamia is the supreme cookie.”
Only one unnamed hater from the office wasn’t a fan, saying: “I did try it but it was a shush from me.” Honestly, there’s always one.
