From Engineering To Winemaking: Anna Johns + The Wrekin Vineyard

"It was enough of a slap in the face," she reflects, describing her decision to join her family business.

Anna Johns is the next generation of the Johns family who have owned and worked at the Wrekin Vineyard since the late 1990s.

She delves into the unique factors that led to her family taking over the Marlborough-based vineyard and moving away from New Zealand's largest metropolitan area.

Johns touches on her background as an acoustics engineer and a personal battle with melanoma in 2021 which prompted her return to the vineyard.

She also highlights the vineyard's success, including organic certification and international ambitions.
