Auckland's most viral tacos are finally going to be available for delivery

As if they didn't already sell out fast enough?

Ever since Broke Boy Tacos opened a permanent spot in Mount Albert, there have been queues out the door - but soon, some lucky Aucklanders won't have to get in line.

Kentucky-born Broke Boy Taco founder Sean Yarbrough went viral for bringing authentic birria tacos to little old New Zealand, and it looks like his mission to make them available around the motu is starting to take shape.

From the 3rd of December and every Taco Tuesday thereafter, Doordash will be delivering Broke Boy's tacos, famous ramen and a brand new menu item.

“A million people have asked me to do delivery since opening, but I wanted to make sure it was done right," Yarbrough said.

To celebrate the new delivery option, Broke Boy has created a limited-edition burrito that will only be available on the DoorDash app.

Yarbrough's take on the San Francisco burrito features his iconic birria along with cheese, rice, beans and fresh pico de gallo complete with his signature consommé and homemade orange sauce.

Broke Boy has also just dropped a collaboration with Duck Island Ice Cream that's got people fizzing - the Chilli Chocolate Ice Cream Taco.

It combines Ancho Chilli Chocolate ice cream, lime ganache, milk chocolate dip, and a salty chilli, lime and coriander sherbet in a waffle shell, and is available at both Broke Boy's spot and all Duck Island stores, which are dotted across Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington.

If you're not near any of these places and are feeling miffed and a bit hungry by now, don't stress - Doordash says this is just the 'first wave' of their partnership with Broke Boy Tacos.

"Any chef's dream is for everyone to try their food," Yarbrough said. "I can't wait to see where we go next."
