Fresh Insights From New Zealand's Agricultural Export Boom

New Zealand's agriculture export sector is thriving, thanks to resilience and innovation, as revealed in the Fresh Facts 2024 report. 

United Fresh Technical Advisory Group Chair, Dr Hans Maurer, shares how the industry has achieved an impressive 8 percent growth in exports despite challenges like natural disasters. 

Dr Maurer highlights key successes identified in the report, including the revival of apple and kiwifruit exports and the burgeoning cherry market in Taiwan. 

However, he explains that understanding and implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) remains a challenge for many organisations, with only 2 percent adopting a structured framework.
