Subway just dropped a new cookie flavour for the first time in 4 years so Merry frickin Chrimbo

'Tis the season to sink our teeth into sweet treats, right?!

Subway is getting amongst the Christmas spirit by dropping a new cookie into the mix.

The new Choc Mint Cookie is making its debut after a whopping four-year hiatus from adding new flaves to their already iconic lineup of flavours.

It's basically Christmas in a cookie. We're talking a rich double chocolate with a refreshing dash of peppermint and a festive touch of red and green chocolate drops.

Rodica Titeica, Director of Marketing for Subway NZ/AU spilled that the new cookie is the treat we didn't know we needed this holiday season.

"This year, we've sold more than 53.6 million cookies across Australia and New Zealand. On average, that's two cookies per person, per year," she said.

The cookies are baked fresh in-house every day, joining the cookie crew of 5 legendary faves with their signature crispy edges and soft centres.

We got our hands on the new cookie here at Edge HQ and it was a hit in the office.

"I'm not normally a big chocolate mint guy, but the mint was not overpowering at all. It has that same texture as all Subway cookies have and me thinks it should be a stayer in the sandwich side rotation," Digital Edgie Seth Gupwell said on his first time biting down on the new addition.

After all, 'tis the season to sink your teeth into some sweet treats guilt-free, right?!

The Choc Mint Cookie is here for a good time, not a long time, so if you're keen on giving it a try, you might wanna head to your local Subway and grab yourself one.
