The Black Ferns have just solidified their wholesome status after breaking royal protocol to have a group hug with King Charles.
The Kiwi rugby team went to visit the King ahead of their match against England this Sunday.
In a clip posted to Instagram this morning, winger Ayesha Leti-I’iga politely asks the King: “We all wanted a hug, but only if that’s okay with you.”
“A hug?’ Charles asked. “Why not.”
The girls all rushed in for a big ol’ squeeze and burst into a fit of giggles that had the King beaming from ear to ear.
After coming in late to the embrace, the King made sure Tanya Kalounivale didn’t miss out on her hug.
“These girls are the warmest people in this world!! Even the king was melting 🥺🤍,” one commenter wrote.
Another said: “This is fabulous, breaking barriers. A special moment.”
“He looked so happy when they all rushed him for a hug. It’s the little things that bring joy 🥹,” added a third.
While a fourth cheekily joked: “Charles meeting royalty.”
According to Daily Mail UK, the King later said to the girls: “I much appreciated this chance to meet you and have such a warm hug from most of you.”
He confirmed it was “very healing".
The Black Ferns wāhine even introduced Charles to the popular 0.5 selfie trend in a hilarious pic.
“He looks like the proud koro,” someone said in the comments.
The Black Ferns have once again proven there's nothing they can't do! Legends.
