Mystery 'Raygun' woman goes viral for cutting serious shapes at Electric Avenue

The people's main act!

Over 70,000 people packed into Christchurch’s North Hagley Park for Electric Avenue over the weekend, but one festival-goer stood out from the crowd.

While her identity remains a mystery, people are calling her the "Raygun" of the festival, comparing her to the legendary Aussie breakdancer.

She was spotted cutting serious shapes at The Hangar stage, even creating her own dance circle.

Another video captured her from above, absolutely owning the space in front of the Park Stage.

Since the weekend, both videos have blown up, with people hyping up her boogie style in the comments.

“The way I believed this was raygun fr,” one person wrote.

Another said: “Raygun’s left shaking.”

“Wow, she ate down 🔥🔥,” a third added.

“I wish I could have this much freedom and fun,” a fourth applauded. “I take my hat off to her.”

While her name still remains a mystery, the plot thickens.

Self-proclaimed “professional festie frother" MC Crafty jumped into the comments, revealing that the dancing legend is actually his sister.

He later shared his own video, explaining that Electric Avenue was the first festival she attended since having a baby.

“She is so epic, I’m so gutted I didn’t go with her,” he said.

It checks out, because anyone who knows or has come across Crafty will recognise those moves - it’s like cutting shapes runs in their genes.

Last year, Crafty even took his mum to Synthony, where she also showed off where the siblings got their moves from.

Honestly, can we hire this family as professional festival vibe-bringers? Someone please make it happen.
