Boiler Room’s epic DJ mix series is coming to Tāmaki Makaurau with an all-Māori lineup!
Boiler Room Aotearoa will celebrate the incredible Māori artists, sound and culture with some of the best our motu has to offer.
We’re talking six hours of incredible sets from Atarangi, Caru, Katayanagi Twins, Mokomokai, Mokotron, Poppajax, Seymore, and Te Kurahuia.
Behind this lineup are Lady Shaka and the global collective, Pulotu Underworld, who’ve teamed up with Boiler Room to make it all happen.
“A BR X project and the next in the @boilerroomtv Pacific Islands series; join us as we celebrate Māoritanga and explore the rich diversity of Māori sound,” Lady Shaka wrote in her Instagram announcement.
This is their second big Boiler Room event in the Pacific, following the success of their gig in Rarotonga, putting Polynesian artists on the map.
It’s all going down on November 23rd and is free entry, but you’ll need to request an invite through the Boiler Room website to secure a spot at the gig.
And if you miss out, no stress, the highlights will go up on Boiler Room’s YouTube.
Set to hit the upcoming gig, the Katayanagi Twins joined the Mai FM crew for a cheeky shed party, and they most definitely brought the vibes!
We’ve also had George FM's very own Sin from George Drive bring the energy to a Boiler Room at the Hidden Lakes Festival back in the summer of 2023.
Plus, Bavhu from George Sundays dropped some beats at Hidden Valley Festival that same year.
Right, now I’m getting fizzed for the upcoming gig, how about you?
