The long-awaited Oasis reunion was confirmed last August, and excitement is building over what songs we might hear when they take the stage in Australia.
The tour will be the first time the Gallagher brothers have performed together since their infamous backstage brawl at France’s Rock en Seine festival in 2009, which led to the band's breakup
According to a Liam Gallagher fan page, the show will kick off with ‘Acquiesce’, the only Oasis track to feature both Noel and Liam on vocals.
The next song is the band's first UK number-one hit, ‘Some Might Say’, from their second album, ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’.
The Gallaghers then go through some of their most beloved tracks, including ‘Lyla’, ‘Shakermaker’, ‘The Hindu Times’, ‘Columbia’, and ‘Cast No Shadow’.
The brothers appear to be saving their biggest anthems for the grand finale, with their 1994 debut single ‘Supersonic’ landing as the 15th track on the rumoured setlist.
However, one notable omission is ‘Wonderwall’ - their most-streamed song on Spotify with over two billion plays.
Some fans remain hopeful it could make a surprise appearance as their encore.
Adding to the speculation, Liam Gallagher responded to one fan on X (formally Twitter), saying: "It's not far off".
Another rumour floating around is that the show will only be an hour long.
“Liam, some people believe Oasis gigs will last only one hour, tell 'em you were joking,” someone asked on X.
Liam addressed the speculation with a cheeky reply: "Just under 59 mins 59 secs." only to later confirm: “We’re obv going to play longer” adding, “ask a silly question, you’ll get a silly answer.”
While we won’t be getting a show here in New Zealand, many Kiwi fans are making the trip abroad.
One dedicated fan posted on X: “I’m coming all the way back to Manchester from NZ for this… “I hope the 59 mins and 59 seconds is worth it,” they joked.
For those lucky enough to head along, what’s the one track you’re hoping to hear live?
