Imagine you’re stuck on a deserted island. Not a soul in sight. Surrounded by sand and ocean.
You look to your right and see a record player. Luckily, you have an album with you. You hit play and await your rescue.
If you were to find yourself stuck in this situation, what album would you want to have to keep you company?
We asked our Magic Facebook fans and these were our favourite answers.
‘1962-1966 / The Red Album’ The Beatles
Smart choice from Raelene here. You can’t beat a compilation album, and 1962-1966 has some of the Beatles' most loved classics.
Plenty of tracks to keep you lively while you wait for ‘Help!’ (which would also be a fitting album).

‘Dark Side of the Moon’ Pink Floyd
The perfect album to make it feel like you’re floating away in another dimension.
A few listens might send you into a slight existential crisis, but at least it’ll be a beautiful sounding crisis.

Bonus points if your rescue wait extends into the night and you get to listen while star-gazing.
‘Aloha from Hawaii’ Elvis Presley
This one speaks for itself. An apt album to listen to, given the title.
The Elvis compilation is another album full of classics that will keep you in good spirits.

Wouldn’t mind a bit of Blue Suede Shoes on the beach.
‘Rockin’ The Guess Who
A top pick simply because Russell picked it, one of our top fans who we’ve noticed holds quite an appreciation for The Guess Who.

If it’s good enough for Russell, it’s good enough for us.
The sounds of nature
And last but certainly not least, Brendon’s comment,
“You don’t need an album, you can listen to the ocean”

So very true, Brendon. What better way to spend your time than appreciating the beauty of nature?
