LEGO just dropped an official 'Twilight' set after thousands of fans begged for its creation

Close enough to building my dream home.

You better hold on Spider Monkey … it’s 'hoa hoa hoa' season!

As if the 'Twilight' fandom didn’t have enough merchandise to fill their rooms and cover their walls, the first ever *official* Twilight LEGO Set has just been released.

It’s been more than a decade since the last 'Twilight' film was released in cinemas but the franchise has such a cult following that new generations of fans continue to try and choose between Team Jacob or Team Edward (Team Jacob is the correct answer, BTW).

The Cullen's House LEGO set is based off the house in the film, a beautiful home in Portland, Oregon.

The 2,001 piece set has plenty of rooms and spaces to recreate some iconic moments from the film, including the “Spider Monkey” scene in the tree, Edward playing the piano for Bella, or when the Cullen’s are making an “Italiano” food when Bella visits - SO COOL.

We get seven minifigures - Charlie Swan, Jacob Black, Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, Alice, Rosalie and Carlisle Cullen.

I wish we got a Nessie - I mean Renesmee - minifigure, and more of the Cullen family but I guess there’s only a certain amount the designers could fit into their budget.

I think Edward’s double printed face makes up for it as you can spin it around and replace his face with one that SPARKLES!

This set was announced to be in development at the start of 2023 through the LEGO Ideas programme.

LEGO Ideas is a platform where anyone can design and submit a set idea to LEGO, no matter the theme or IP, and then the public can place their votes. Once a design has been voted by people 10,000 times, it gets seriously considered by LEGO to be turned into an official set.

The 'Twilight' Cullen’s house idea took less than 48 hours to make it to 10,000 votes, which is one of the fastest submissions to date. Most designs/ideas take months before getting anywhere that milestone - the fandom clearly came running in to support this set idea.

The California based designer, Nick Micheels, said “the amazing submissions on the LEGO Ideas site that demonstrated how dynamic the LEGO system is inspired me to submit my own idea.

I decided to create a Twilight build because I’m a massive fan of the saga, and imagining a LEGO interpretation of the films made me so happy!"

Debbie Olshan, Director of Consumer Products at Lionsgate added: “We’re thrilled for the beloved 'Twilight' brand to cross over into the world of LEGO. Designed by and created for fans, this collaboration allows us to expand The Twilight Saga fandom in new ways."

The LEGO Ideas Twilight The Cullen House is available for pre-order from today and on sale from February 4th, but it will cost you a pretty penny at $399!
