The TikTok AU/NZ Awards are back for 2024, and there’s a pretty talented stack of Kiwis in the running to take out NZ’s ‘Creator of the Year’ title.
With a whopping 5.2 Million followers between them, the five finalists - Oliver Mills, How to Dad NZ’s Jordan Watson, Torrell Tafa, Lisa Perese-Cullen and Nix Adams - are making some of the best content out of Aotearoa.
It's the second year an NZ Creator will be rewarded for the content they’ve shared on the platform, and it’s going to be a tough comp between them.

Oliver Mills (1.3M followers)
Oli is a comedian who spreads positivity with lighthearted affirmations and has a strong focus on openly talking about mental health. You might’ve even seen the videos where he managed to snag Taylor Swift’s ‘22’ hat from her Sydney ‘Eras Tour’ earlier this year.
How to Dad NZ (1.1M followers)
Jordan Watson, AKA ‘How to Dad’, is that relatable Kiwi father who shares the funny ups and downs of raising his daughters. But, he’s not just a hilarious dad, he’s also a charity ambassador for KidsCan.
Torrell Tafa (1.4M followers)
Torrell is a Samoan-Kiwi known for his hilarious TikTok sketches that show off his crack-up sense of humour in true Kiwi style. He originally gained virality through the online group Cougar Boys.
Lisa Perese-Cullen (591K followers)
Lisa (Ngāti Awa, Samoa) is a ‘Mumtok’ creator who shares short, funny, honest clips about her family and home - just life really. She even has her own small underwear business, Harper James. She’s a busy lady keeping us entertained and hustling biz on the side.
Nix Adams (848K followers)
Nicola ‘Nix’ Adams’ raw, honest, and genuinely hilarious videos have attracted a loyal crew of followers who love her relatable content about family life.
This year’s show will be hosted by some Aussie faves too. Robert Irwin is teaming up with TikTok stars Indy Clinton and Kat Clark to celebrate all the most-loved creators - from viral legends and sporting heroes to beauty gurus and foodies.
Last year’s first-ever TikTok Creator of the Year award was presented to the talented Judah Metu-Teaukura AKA @judaxx.
The South Auckland creator became hugely popular in NZ after she started posting daily videos during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
Like a few of this year’s nominees, Judah uploads funny comedy sketches featuring her mates and other massive NZ TikTokers.
We can’t wait to see who takes out this year’s award.
