WATCH: Benson Boone brings out Queen’s Brian May for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ performance at Coachella 2025

The choir, the legend, the backflip - he really brought it all to the stage!

Benson Boone's Coachella performance may have just become our favourite of the festival – and it’s only day one.

The rising star was joined by none other than Queen’s Brian May, absolutely ripping on the guitar for a pretty "massive" cover of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Channelling his inner Freddie Mercury, Boone wore a cape reminiscent of the one Mercury famously donned during the band’s 1986 'Magic' tour. Underneath, the singer sported a pair of flares and a low-plunge shirt.

The pair were joined by a full choir, delivering flawless backing vocals to the iconic track.

Oh, and a highlight for many a Benson Boone fan – yes, there was a backflip.

The cover brought generations of fans together, with many calling the performance "spectacular".

“Benson Boone just made history. Not perfect - just spectacular. Freddie would've loved it,” one person wrote.

“Brian May showing up says it all. This is why Coachella matters,” they added.

Another said: “Bringing out the ORIGINAL guitarist cannot be beat!”

“No one understands how massive this performance is,” a third noted.

Someone else even called it the “best Coachella performance of all time.”

Their energy, the respect in that final hug, and May’s proud smile really make this one go down as one of the greats of recent years.

We’ll be blasting this all weekend long. Incredible!
