Famous Twitch streamer and YouTube star IShowSpeed is living it up in Aotearoa, leading a haka and hanging out with NZ comedian Jimi Jackson.
The 19-year-old has gained millions of followers thanks to his outrageous streams, infectious energy, and collaborations with popular YouTube group the Sidemen and KSI.
Currently live-streaming his adventures around New Zealand, Speed made a stop in Rotorua over the weekend.
A highlight of his trip was joining a group haka alongside Jimi and a bunch of locals.
The streamer shared footage of himself leading the group with his own twist - a backflip before launching into ‘Ka Mate.’
Props to him too, he put some hearty mana into the actions and did a strong pukana to finish.
“Bro found where he belongs 😂,” one Kiwi wrote in the comments.
Another said: “Speed haka was not on my bingo card 🔥.”
“That backflip left me speechless 🤣 Solid haka brother 😤,” comedian Jimi Jackson added.
The two then caught up for a tour of the best ‘Rotovegas’ has to offer, including some sheep shearing, tucking into a hāngī pie and a free fall at Velocity Valley.
Speed and Jimi put it to a game of paper-scissors-rock to decide who would take on Velocity Valley’s 1,000th Vertigo drop - a 43-metre fall into a safety net.
Turns out it was Jimi who had to do the milestone drop, but that didn’t mean Speed was let off scot-free.
Jimi also taught the streamer some classic Kiwi slang, and Speed got the hang of “chur”, “mean” and “buzzy” pretty quick!
He reckons he might even use a few when he heads back home to America.
Today's stream will show Speed's adventure through Auckland. We’re keen to see what else he gets up to while he’s here in the Land of the Long White Cloud.
