MAFS AU: Ex-producer and groom tell Morena to 'stop whinging' over shocking 'mistreatment' claims

"Stop blaming the editing."

An ex-Married At First Sight AU producer and an ex-groom have come out swinging against 2025 bride Morena Farina’s bombshell claims against the show's experts and creators.

TV and podcast producer Alexandria Funnell, along with 2018 groom Nasser Sultan, have both taken to TikTok to doubt on Morena’s allegations of mistreatment, threats, and being held against her will during filming.

ICYMI – Morena has spoken on multiple podcasts, including 'MAFS Funny', claiming that experts and producers plotted against her through post-production editing and lying during filming, luring her to dinner parties under false promises to keep her image safe.

“Producers, you should be ashamed of yourselves, but that’s okay, you’ve got to live with what you’ve done,” Morena said in the bombshell interview.

Alexandria, who has firsthand experience behind the scenes of 'Married At First Sight AU', insists that Morena’s portrayal on TV will be an “accurate” reflection of her character.

“It’s not because she’s been taken out of context or ‘cause Tony is secretly married - it’s because she is like this," Alex claimed.

She can come out swinging, she can come out arguing all she wants. I can promise you this will be an accurate reflection of what she’s like as a person.

Meanwhile, former MAFS groom Nasser - known for being a strong personality on his season - is also “blown away” by Morena’s similar allegations, which she aired on Abbie Chatfield’s 'It’s A Lot' podcast.

“Before you signed up, you would have had 10 years of watching this show, reading about it, knowing how it works…”

“You know they don’t match you with exactly what you ask for,” he said, referencing Morena’s claims that both she and Tony were set up unfairly.

Tony is said to have wanted a younger 40-year-old woman, and Morena didn’t want a smoker - or someone who was STILL married.

Nasser didn’t hold back, questioning why Morena applied in the first place.

“Why apply for [the show] and whinge about it now?” he said. “You know what I say to you, darling? Go away. Stop whinging and blaming the editing and saying you’ve been mistreated.”

“I would run away from you as well," he added.

During her 'MAFS Funny' interview, Morena claimed she isn’t backing down and will continue to fight for her reputation until producers release the raw footage that she says will provide more context to her behaviour.
