TVNZ has just announced a four-episode special of the mega popular quiz show, teaming up with ITV Studios Australia, they're making the Kiwi version happen.
With two out of three Kiwi’s watching 'The Chase' in 2024, we're well equipped to put our knowledge to the test.
While it won't be filmed on NZ soil, Kiwis can apply now to film over in Sydney, Australia, and take their shot a beating out a chaser.
Following the original format we all know and love, NZ contestants will be going head-to-head with some of 'The Chase' Australia’s most iconic Chasers.
There’s even a chance you’ll face the ‘The Governess’, Anne Hegerty.
Since the episodes are being filmed in Sydney, travel and accommodation costs are on you. But that might all be worth it for a shot at the big cash prize.
This announcement makes NZ the 22nd country to produce a local version of the show.
Australia, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Israel, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey and the United States all host their own versions.
The host and release date for 'The Chase New Zealand' are yet to be revealed.
