Dua Lipa shades other pop singers for attention-seeking behaviour

She reckons some artists are using their personal lives as "clickbait".

Dua Lipa has accused other singers of oversharing about their private lives in songs to attract attention.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed some high-profile romances since she burst onto the music scene but has insisted she doesn't try to capitalise on her private life - unlike other stars.

The 'New Rules' singer was asked about putting her private life into lyrics in a '60 Minutes' interview and said, "It's something that I just naturally hold back".

"Some people are just so ruthless with their own private life that they decide to put it all out in a song because they know that it's gonna attract people's attention."

She added, "for me, it was always important to make music that people really loved, not because I was putting someone out on blast."

Not because I'm doing it for the clickbait at maybe someone else's expense.

Lipa is currently in a relationship with British actor Callum Turner and has previously been linked to chef Isaac Carew, model Anwar Hadid, and LANY frontman Paul Klein.

It has previously been reported that Lipa's song 'Hotter Than Hell' was inspired by a past romance - while recent track 'Maria' has also been rumoured to be about a failed relationship.

Meanwhile, fans of LANY have been convinced that Klein has penned a string of tracks about Lipa including 'Malibu Nights' and 'XXL'.
