Robert Irwin’s modeling career is everything we needed - and then some.
The 21-year-old son of the late, great crocodile hunter Steve Irwin has stepped in front of the camera for Bonds’ latest undies campaign.
Showing off a new range of comfy briefs all while holding dangerous wildlife - let’s just say, people were not ready for it.
“Say g'day to our new brand icon, Robert Irwin, like you've never seen him before,” Bonds AU wrote in an Instagram post.
“Who better to rep comfy down under than the Aussie wildlife legend himself? 🐨”
Great question. Hard to answer after seeing the results.
And yes, to the shock of absolutely NO ONE, the comments section is all over it. From surprise, to admiration, to full-blown swooning, praise has flooded in.
“This is gonna break the internet,” one person wrote - and it quite possibly might.
Another added: “Crikey. The khaki has been hiding that rig the whole time?”
“Rob, my wife is on Instagram, mate. Please,” a husband begged.
Someone else added and let’s say it all together: “Now everyone say, 'Thankyooouuuuuu Bonnddddsssssss' 👏👏👏”
“Not gonna lie… I’m swooning hahaha 🙈,” a fifth said.
“Last time I saw him, he was about 5 on an electric 4-wheel drive with his Sister in the Zoo😂,” someone reminisced.
And let’s be real - plenty of us are thinking, ‘when the heck did he grow up?’
Following the release of the undie shots, Robert told People it wasn’t a hard decision to strip down for the shoot.
"It was a pretty immediate yes," he said.
"I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, 'Yes! Let's do it!' Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon," he adds.
"Also, I'm at this point in my life where I'm trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it's something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I've never done before, and it's a bit of an adrenaline rush? That's what I want to be doing."
I guess when you’re wrangling snakes, lizards, and crocs all day, you’ve gotta get your rush elsewhere, right?!
"I mean, I've spent my life wrangling crocs and snakes and rescuing animals. So to feature a little slice of that excitement in this new campaign - mate, it has been so much fun.”
Getting your gear off is way scarier than wrangling a croc.
And he still manages to stay a relatable king. Another true legend from the Irwin genes.
