We all know there's a problem with too many Kiwis moving to live overseas - but has anyone considered the problems those expats might face once they're gone?
Apparently, one of the main issues for Kiwis that leave the nest is that Vogel's isn't available outside of Aotearoa - meaning lots of New Zealanders are going without their favourite toast.
In one of the weirdest news stories of the week, Vogel's has announced its launching a 'BreadyWear' line of travel clothing, to help people wear their bread on their way out of the country.

Created by up and coming fashion designer Vicki Foggo, the collection is made up of two pieces - The Breaded Jacket, which holds up to 32 slices, and the Neckloaf, a 'travel pillow' that holds two whole loaves.
I did ask if this was a belated April Fool's joke, and was assured it wasn't, but it is going to be tricky to get yourselves one of these pieces IRL.
The 'BreadyWear' collection is going to be available - for free - at a pop up at Auckland Airport on April 9, in a bid to set some travellers up with the ability to take their Vogel's abroad without the need for extra baggage space. Thing is, there will only be a very limited number of items available.

A Vogel's spokesperson says the transparent design of the pieces is "both fashionable and functional", allowing the wearer to "unashamedly flaunt the bread in front of jealous passengers".
A quick poll of people around the office has revealed a resoundingly positive response to the jacket - with many commenting on how much they enjoy the bread tag hanging from the zipper.
How well the bread would hold up on a long-haul flight, and whether anyone would actually wear slices of bread on a plane, remains to be seen.
