Air New Zealand unveils 'A Taste of Aotearoa' menu celebrating rural suppliers

Air New Zealand has proudly unveiled its latest culinary masterpiece, "A Taste of Aotearoa," featuring an extensive array of New Zealand suppliers and indigenous ingredients.

The all-new menu, drawing inspiration from Maori tradition and contemporary cuisine, is now gracing the Business Premier cabins on all long-haul flights departing from New Zealand.

The airline's commitment lies in offering a genuine taste of the country through a delightful and authentic dining experience onboard and in their lounges.

The "A Taste of Aotearoa" menu takes centre stage with its celebration of native flavours, including the exquisite Superfood Salad featuring horopito-dusted New Zealand salmon, the mouthwatering Creamy Kawakawa Mushrooms on rye toast with sautéed spinach and grilled tomatoes, and the delectable Ahia™ Smoked Moki on kawakawa blini.

Air New Zealand collaborated hand-in-hand with renowned local suppliers, ensuring that the menu showcases fresh and locally sourced ingredients. "A Taste of Aotearoa" takes the passengers on a gastronomic journey, introducing them to the exceptional food producers that embody the spirit of rural New Zealand.

Among the featured ingredients are Ahia™ smoked moki sourced from the people of Ngati Porou, Ora King salmon from Marlborough, New Zealand hapuka, smoked mussels from the Coromandel, and cheeses from Oamaru and Hawke's Bay extra virgin olive oil.

Passengers travelling in premium cabins on select flights departing from New Zealand, such as those to New York and Chicago, will have the privilege to savour "A Taste of Aotearoa."
