Your dream chocolate flavour could be made into real bars sold on NZ shelves

This year, more Kiwis can get involved!

Wellington Chocolate Factory is getting Kiwis to think up their ultimate chocolate flavour to be made into 500 bars of the real deal.

After a four-year hiatus, WFC's 'Chocolate Dreams' gets Kiwis to actually make their most imaginative chocolate flavours and design a wrapper to match.

The competition used to be just for little ones, but it's now open to all ages after the big kids begged to give it a go. There's categories for Juniors and Teens, and an Open competition for those over 18.

In 2020, Sophia Evans from Nelson dreamed up an Orange Moustachio bar, which was made a reality with her personally designed packaging.

The top chocolate entries will then be voted on by other Kiwis to decide which ones they want to see on shelves.

The winner will work with WCF to bring their creation to life, receiving 50 bars of their final creation for themselves, while the other 450 will be sold at WCF.

Willy Wonka is shaking in his boots.

"Who doesn't want to fulfil their ultimate childhood dream?" Gabe Davidson, co-founder of Wellington Chocolate Factory said. "We're all big kids inside, so I'm really excited to see what our aspiring chocolate makers come up with."
