GETTING TO AND FROM THE FESTIVAL
Using public transport is strongly encouraged by the Jim Beam Home Grown team.
MetLinks Journey Planner is easily accessible to make sure you are getting to and from the festival efficiently.
Parking is extremely limited with multiple road closures in the area surrounding the festival, so it really is your best bet.
E-scooters/bikes will not be able to operate on the Waterfront as the area will be geo-fenced during event time.
There will be traffic calming measures in place at the end of both nights to ensure safety for the high foot traffic between 10:30 PM - 11.30 PM.
ABOUT THE LIQUOR BAN
Every stage has its own bar, so you can sip a drink while catching the bands.
Just a heads-up - once you leave the stage areas, there’s a liquor ban on the waterfront and nearby streets, and you could cop a fine of up to $250.
So make sure to finish your drink before heading out, and don’t bring your own alcohol down to the Wellington Waterfront, either.
It’s important to always be responsible and look out for your mates, too!
