The Kiwi brand on sale at Coachella 2025 as Lady Gaga, Post Malone and more perform

NZ representing!

Coachella kicks off this weekend with a stacked line up of acts like Lady Gaga, Post Malone and Travis Scott - and there'll be a New Zealand brand representing at the bar.

Over 250,000 festie-goers will have the option to sip on Free AF's range of non-alcoholic cocky-Ts at the massive gig, in collaboration with Coachella's Non Alcoholic Partner 'The New Bar'.

Free AF's founder Lisa King says they're "thrilled" to bring a taste of Aotearoa's "vibrant alcohol-free culture" to such an iconic festival.

"It's an incredible opportunity to showcase our non-alcohol cocktails to a global audience."

And if you're wondering 'who's drinking alcohol-free drinks at a music event?' - it turns out there are plenty of people.

A recent survey showed that sales of non-alcoholic drinks are booming - increasing 30% each year - and Gen Z is leading the charge, with over 45% of those surveyed saying they've never had an alcoholic drink.

Free AF has already established itself over in the states, being sold in Walmarts and Targets across the country.

Plus, you might remember Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner repping the non-alcoholic cocktails for a Dry January promotion earlier this year.

Apparently it's not just the punters that are abstaining either.

"More than a dozen artists performing at Coachella this year have publicly stated they don't drink," Lisa said in a statement.

"Being at Coachella aligns perfectly with our mission to make not drinking cool AF."

What do you reckon, would you crack into an alcohol-free Apero Spritz or Cucumber G&T for a sunset set at Coachella, or would you rather stick to the real deal?
