Former 'Married At First Sight Australaia' star Timothy smith has performed a citizen’s arrest after catching a teen armed with a machete running through his Melbourne suburb.
Police received reports of two teenage boys running down a street close to Tim's house on Friday.
Tim witnessed the incident and managed to detain one of the boys until police arrived. The other teen fled the scene.
Police later arrested a 14-year-old boy and seized the machete.

Tim later posted a video on Instagram, saying he wanted to let the “dust settle” before addressing the incident.
He explained it all happened right outside his house and that he witnessed the teen wielding a machete and attempting a carjacking just 100 metres down the road.
“Yes, I did chase them and caught the one with the machete,” he said.
“The whole thing was a little bit weird,” he added, explaining that he had a moment of shock and disbelief, thinking to himself: “Is this actually happening?”
“Even over the weekend, I was just thinking about how nuts it actually was and how it all unfolded.”
He also said it was a really “sad” situation in a few ways.
“It was sad that they decided to do that, and terrifying for the person they tried to carjack. We all make mistakes, but this affects somebody else.”
In saying that, I just hope that getting caught is his chance to make a change.
Tim added that thankfully no one was hurt and said he hopes the teen reflects on his actions.
Smith has previously opened up about his own “mistakes” that helped shape who he is today.
In an interview with 'A Current Affair' last year, he revealed he had been jailed for his part in a million-dollar drug smuggling operation back in 2006.
“My world changed. I was shipped off to a federal facility - no guards, four walls, 180 guys, good or bad,” he said.
He was sentenced to a year in a maximum-security prison after owning up to his crimes.
Now, Tim is launching a career in politics, running as an independent in Melbourne.
He knows all too well how one "mistake" can change your life - and how you can still manage to turn things around.
