It’s exciting news for fans of the iconic boy band ‘Take That’.
After spending last year touring their 'This Life' album from November 2023, lead singer Gary Barlow has said it’s time to “get to work.”
The band which originally consisted of Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams (left 1995) and Jason Orange (left 2014), have released nine studio albums, making this one the tenth.
After the release of ‘This Life’, Take That had been tipped to land a residency deal in Las Vegas, however they failed to secure the coveted and potentially lucrative deal.
Barlow said, "It's so hard. It's not happening at the moment. Last year was a good year for us because we played lots of countries that we'd never played before.
"But I just couldn't get Vegas to work. It's because we're not big in America, that's the reality."
Barlow has now revealed to The Sun that he and other current members Mark Owen and Howard Donald are “working on a new Take That record right now.”
“It’s been slated for next year,” he added, “We just don’t want to stop really.”
Barlow, in the meantime, has been working on solo projects like his upcoming Songbook Tour, his 2025 country collaboration with Colbie Caillat, and an Australian food and wine travel series.
This year the band are also celebrating the 30 year anniversary of their 1995 album ‘Nobody Else’, and are releasing it on vinyl for the very first time.
Since forming in Manchester in 1990, ‘Take That’ have received eight Brit Awards and seen 28 Top 40 singles, 20 Top 10 and 17 Top 5 in the UK Singles Chart, with 12 of these reaching number one.
The group have also seen success overseas, with 56 number-one singles and 42 number-one albums topping international charts.
After having to wait six years between the 2017 release ‘Wonderland’ and most recent album ‘This Life’, it’s looking like a much shorter gap for fans eagerly awaiting new music.
