They say never meet your heroes, and for a second, one Mike Tyson fan nearly learned the hard way.
Travis Nguyen clocked the boxing legend while on his travels and thought he'd grab a quick video.
But mid-question, Tyson cut him off: “Yo bro, CHILL OUT! I’m not doing it tonight…”
“Okay, okay,” Nguyen shakily replied, with a hint of heartbreak.
As Nguyen began to walk away - probably regretting his choice to say anything - Tyson switched up, dropping the act.
“Come on man, sit down,” Tyson invited him in with a hug.
Relieved, Nguyen laughed, mentioning how surprised he was to see Tyson chilling alone. The boxer cracked a smile as Nguyen got his moment on video.
Fans were quick to big up Nguyen for his “respectful” approach.
“Mike gave him a test and he passed, that’s exactly what that was,” one Instagram commenter wrote. “Cool to see.”
“He saw you actually had manners = green light 👍,” added another.
A third said: “You were very respectful. You earned that.”
Others reckon they wouldn’t be able to recover if the same situation happened to them.
