‘Married at First Sight Australia’ 2025 groom Jake Luik might not be all that innocent and kind afterall - and I’m not just talking about his rogue comments in the photo ranking challenge.
Turns out, Jake’s horrible remarks also extend to his on-screen wife Ashleigh Ackerman after messages in a group chat with his mates have leaked.
ICYMI - While ranking the other brides of this year’s experiment, Jake made some pretty horrible comments on their looks to justify his order.
"I'll just try to be as honest and truthful as possible here," Jake says. But have we not learned form previous years gone, that is NOT the right move… and for the love of good God, please just put your wife first.
The foul remarks included saying Jaqui has “crazy eyes”, thinking Carina might have a lazy eye, adding Sierah has a face that “screams 'I could stab you in your sleep'.”
"Not gonna sound like... not racist or nothing, but I do like Caucasian people mainly, mostly,” when talking about the beautiful Māori bride Awhina.
After ranking Jess smack bang in the middle of the brides for her looks, it seems he may have bitten his tongue on the challenge, but let loose in a group chat with his mates.
Megan Pestutto obtained the messages and shared the foul language on the ‘So Dramatic!’ podcast.
Be warned: The texts include body shaming and misogynistic comments.
“Just thought this might bring more clarity in case anyone still thought Jake was a quirky, goofy guy,” the source who sent the texts to Megan said.
When asked about the experiment prior to the show airing Jake allegedly wrote: "That shit took years off my life, I hated every second of it."
Shocked that filming was all over, the friend asked which woman he “had to put up with", and Jake allegedly replied: "The fat fuck".
His mate then said: "That doesn't narrow it down." YUCK!
After Jake clarified Ash was his partner, the friend replied: "Oh yeah, the real fat fuck. You got given a dud."
Truly horrific comments that make you question Jakes initial ‘nice guy’ appearance.
According to So Dramatic! Jake’s exes have claimed the groom is just as bad as these texts make him seem.
“He did a lot of f*cked horrible sh*t to me,” one ex claimed. “It’s nice to see him being held accountable for once.”
It still boggles me that every year there’s a bride or groom who still has yet to learn the ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say’ rule of thumb…
