Fitness fanatics and ravers unite! One of Australia’s ‘fastest-growing gym chains’ is set to open 40 ‘night-club-like’ locations nationwide before 2030.
'S30’ is described as an "immersive sensory training experience that is a cross between a gym and a nightclub". It includes 24/7 gym access for members, with a ‘low-light and energetic music environment.’
Why does lighting matter?
Darryl McLaughlin, the master franchisor for S30 in NZ, explained:
Research shows that low lighting levels in a gym environment tend to remove the element of comparison and competition and encourage an inward focus rather than looking externally at what you look like or what everyone else is doing.
Talk about my dream kick ons.
Want to cool off after your dance party? The facilities include saunas, ice baths, and compression boots.
Owned by Kiwi Luke Faulkner, 'S30' is also set to open up clubs all over Australia and will expand to other countries including the US, Europe, and South-East Asia.
The first locations have already opened in Tauranga and Mount Eden. A post about the opening day said:
Step inside and feel the culture, the energy, and the vibe that makes S30 more than just a gym. It’s a place where you belong, where every rep counts, and where every win is celebrated.
Apparently, more than 200 jobs will be created in the next five years across the country with the expansion.
If you love being last to leave the club but sick of those pesky hangovers, this could be the ideal spot for you. I’ll catch you front left with my Lulu Lemon’s on.
