Liam Payne fans have wrapped support around Zayn Malik after his personal tribute to the late One Direction singer.
On Saturday night, Zayn kicked off his long-awaited debut solo headline tour - taking to the stage at the O2 Academy in Leeds. He projected a touching message about his late bandmate, beaming a message onto the stage stating, "Liam Payne 1993-2024. Love you bro" along with a heart motif.
During his song 'Alienate', he struggled to sing the words "let go of the past", taking a few moments away from the microphone to compose himself.
Sharing footage on social media, fans expressed how proud they were of Zayn for being on stage after attending Liam's funeral late last week.
"Literally crying. but Zayn did so amazingđ¤," a fan wrote alongside front row footage.
"So proud, Thank you Zaynâ¤ď¸Liam we miss youđĽşâ¤ď¸," said another.
"This is so wholesome but sad at the same time," added a third. "I'm sure Liam would've appreciated it đĽšđ."
"Such a lovely tribute! I canât imagine how heâs feeling right now đ," wrote a fourth.
Someone else wrote: "They were and will always be brothers and it breaks my heart."
The 31-year-old One Direction star was devastated last month when Liam fell to his death from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
