Norman Cook - aka the legend himself, Fatboy Slim - is dropping a book, but don’t stress it won’t contain loads of actual reading.
‘It Ain’t Over ‘til the Fatboy Sings’ will celebrate his solid 40 years in the biz.
Packed with 300+ pages of rare photos, iconic flyers, and behind-the-scenes chaos, it’s basically a scrapbook of four decades of beat, benders and boundary pushing since the mid-'80s.
Norman says in an Instagram video: “I’ve had a long and varied career, most enjoyable with some thrills and spills.”
“Next year I’ll be celebrating 40 years in showbiz, and to celebrate that we thought we’d create a big book full of stuff which I’ve kept over the years of my long and chequered career… from pre-Housemartins, through Beats International, Freakpower and of course Fatboy Slim.”
“You’ll see what I’ve kept and read about what it all means in one big, beautiful book.”
He says there comes a point where you get hounded and asked if you want to write an autobiography.
“That ain't gonna happen because I can’t remember the juicy bits, and the other juicy bits I can’t have published while my children and parents are still alive.”
So instead, he’s calling his new book “a coffee table extravaganza”.

All up, there will be over 1000 images of personal pics, original artwork, flyers and posters that Norman has saved since forming his first band at 15.
He’s a self-proclaimed “natural born hoarder”, so we’ll get some insights behind some of the memorabilia he’s collected over the years.
Showing off a few pieces, Norman says it will include a helmet, which seems to be the OG one that’s replicated in the book's cover, his first record box and, ahem, a dildo named after him.
‘It Ain’t Over ‘til the Fatboy Sings’ drops later this year, and there’s plenty to be covered to give us a glimpse into the world that is Fat Boy Slim’s.
