Fans accuse Billie Eilish of 'robbing them' with 'insanely' expensive merch at Australian shows

Out here charging almost double Taylor Swift did.

Billie Eilish fans have been left stunned after discovering just how much she's charging for merchandise.

Billie's kicked off in Brisbane yesterday with three more shows tonight, Friday, and Saturday before heading to Sydney and Melbourne for the next leg of her 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' world tour.

Prices for the tour items range from $55 to $245 NZD.

Fans can grab a blue canvas belt for $50 AUD ($55 NZD), a Blohsh necklace for $120 AUD ($130 NZD), or a single pair of boxer briefs for $50 AUD ($55 NZD) - or if you want a set of three, that’ll set you back $90 AUD ($100 NZD).

That's up there with Calvin Kleins... They better be good!

The priciest item will make you gag. A tour hoodie is priced at a whopping $220 AUD ($245 NZD).

One person wrote: "Is Billie’s team serious… $220 AUD for a hoodie??"

Another pointed out the smaller items: "$120 for a f**ing necklace, oh my God."

A third compared it to other concerts: "$220 for one hoodie is INSANE. That could get you 2-4 items at other shows 😭."

"This is actually insane," someone else put it simply.

This fan didn’t hold back: "Is the fandom going to keep being okay with Billie robbing us?"

"Billie’s merch prices in Australia… there were tickets to her show that cost less than some of these items," compared another.

For perspective, Taylor Swift’s 'Eras Tour' merch seemed much more reasonable to fans, with t-shirts and hoodies priced between $65-$120 AUD.

Even our own digi gal Maddy, who’s heading across the ditch to Brisbane for the show, had to pick her jaw up off the floor when she saw the prices.

"Honestly, when I saw the merch prices, I was SHOOK," she said. "The concert tickets alone were $230 NZD, so I did not expect to pay the same for a hoodie."

"As a massive fan, I want something to remember the trip. The merch does last forever, so for me, the price is kind of justified… but still."

While it’s a hefty price tag, the merch does look like some solid concert mementos - it doesn't make it any easier to part with the cash, though.
