Everybody deserves to feel good in their clothes!
Have you ever gone shopping at the mall to realise that the only thing that fits you is a pair of sunglasses? Same here, sis.
I'll be honest, going clothes shopping as a curvy girl can be emotionally exhausting. You know there are no clothes that will fit you before even going inside. Even going to a mall, you'll be lucky if they have one store that stocks your size.
Everyone should have access to clothing that fits them. It took me over a year to find clothes that compliment my body. You shouldn't have to go through that same struggle. So here are my favourite online plus-size clothing stores that are actually fashionable and reasonably affordable!
*Disclaimer* Before we jump in, I want to clarify that I am 167cms tall (5'5ft) and a size 22NZ/AU. I carry most of my weight in my stomach and legs but am true to my size.
Princess Polly Curve (18-24)
Before I grew into my curves I was obsessed with Princess Polly. I loved how cute their clothing was and how it fit my body. So it was safe to say that I cried like a baby when I couldn't fit into their clothes anymore.
Luckily, Princess Polly now has a curve section that carries sizes 18-24! Half my wardrobe is probably Princess Polly because its my go to place to purchase party clothes and casual clothing.
Princess Polly almost ALWAYS has a coupon/influencer code so look out for those before buying!
Cotton On Curve (18-24/26)
Listen. I love Cotton On and the deals I get when they have clearance but they are currently in their flop era. You win some, you lose some! Cotton On Curve is where I like to load up on my wardrobe staples such as jeans, jackets, and sweatsuits. I'm sure Cotton On Curve will bring out some amazing summer clothing to make it up to us.
Forever New Curve (18-22)
Forever New is up there in the price range but its high quality makes up for it. There are some awesome office staples in their range. If you have a fancy dinner or wedding you should look at their dresses. Unfortunately, their curve line is still limited to a 22 but hopefully they'll extend their sizing soon.
Jorja & Joseph (18-24)
Riley Hemson known as healthychick101 on Instagram is one of the most well known kiwi influencers (you may have just seen her modeling Princess Polly above) . Riley is the IT girl when it comes to representing plus-size fashion. She recently launched Jorja & Joseph earlier this year and dropped three different types of blue jeans. The mom jean, the relaxed jean and the split hem jean. They are stylish, sustainable and have praise from SO many plus-sized women.
We are waiting for a restock on Volume One of her collection but if you are a size 22 or 24 there are still options available for you!
Hine Collection (18-26)
One of my biggest struggles as a plus-sized person was finding activewear that properly fits me. After gaining weight and no longer squeezing into my AIMN tights, I struggled with options until a friend of mine told me about the Hine Collections XS-6XL size range.
Hine Collection's mission is to create activewear that empowers women to feel confident in their own skin. All my activewear is from Hine Collection because it's THAT good. It's safe to say that I am OBSESSED with how good their clothing makes me feel. If you love tights with pockets this is the place to shop!
Just a reminder that you aren't supposed to fit into clothes, clothes are supposed to fit you! Treat yourself to some new clothing because you deserve it.
