It was a bit of a scary end to the week for ‘Married At First Sight Australia’ groom Tony Mojanovski after suffering a heart attack.
Tony had to be rushed to a New South Wales hospital early Thursday after some severe chest pain.
According to Daily Mail, he underwent emergency surgery, where doctors performed a coronary artery bypass to clear a blockage and save his life.
During his hospitalisation, he told the outlet: "During the week I wasn't feeling well. It has been happening for a long time.”
“I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that.”
He added: "I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, being on the boat, partying - just too many things. It caught up with me."
He added that his mum died from an aneurysm.
Tony’s 'MAFS' co-star (and good mate) Ryan Donnelly took to Instagram to share a sweet update from the hospital.
Ryan posted a few videos and snaps from his visit, with the two seen laughing and hugging as Tony began his recovery.
“Tony Time had a brief intermission,” Ryan captioned the post. “Dropped by to see my best mate, and he was literally on the phone with Adrian [Araouzou].”
“Can't keep a good Macedonian man down, he'll be back to his best in no time!”
In one of the clips, Tony adds: “I had a bit of a scare and I just want to say a big thank you to the people at Wollongong hospital, they were amazing.”
Now, Tony’s planning to slow things way down and put his health first.
“I just need some time without the partying,” he said.
