One of our favourite singers Pink has used her anger as fuel to become a brand new song.
Titled 'Irrelevant', Pink lyrics urge fans to advocate for their rights in the wake of the American Supreme Court's controversial decision to overturn Roe v Wade, which originally granted US women the right to have an abortion.
"As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am," the singer said in a statement.
Pink first teased her song release by posting a photo of the first verse scrawled in pen on a napkin, followed by a second photo of her song title.
Pink also teased a short black and white clip of herself singing a snippet of her chorus accapella, captioning her video "Irrelevant #shutupandsing #challengeaccepted".
'Irrelevant' is the first song Pink has released for 2022. Her last studio album 'Hurts 2B Human' was released in 2019, but Pink has spent her downtime during the pandemic releasing collaborations with Keith Urban on 'One Too Many', as well as the song 'Cover Me With Sunshine' sung with her 11-year-old daughter Willow Sage Hart.
The singer has yet to share whether or not she is working on a new album, but if this is the start - we can't wait to see what's next!
