Boyzlife has cancelled their New Zealand shows, along with their Australian tour, with little detail provided.
Boyzlife, the musical supergroup formed by Brian McFadden of Westlife and Keith Duffy of Boyzone, had five shows scheduled across New Zealand in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga and Auckland
The New Zealand EventFinda page has updated each concert day scheduled to read “CANCELLED”, alongside all previous concert information and ticket prices.
In an official announcement, their management confirmed the cancellation, saying: “We regret to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Boyzlife tour of Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled.
"Ticket refund info as per ticket agencies' normal communications.”
Fans received an email from the ticketing agency, explaining the shows would no longer go ahead; which is yet to be addressed by the band.
Little information as to why the shows won't be going ahead has fans scrambling for information and sharing their disappointment.
They’ve taken their emotions to Boyzlife’s most recent Facebook post promoting their Indonesian tour, writing: “Very disappointed with how fans are being treated. I’ve been a fan since my teens, and this is so disappointing.”
“No explanation or post by your team on why Aus/NZ was cancelled, no reply to countless comments,” the fan added.
Another pointed out: “The proximity of Indonesia being just north of Australia and you cancelling, probably won’t be lost on your Aussie/NZ fans.
While one asked: “Can you guys please explain why the Australian and NZ tour has been cancelled with no information from you, only the venue?”
The band has yet to respond to any of the comments.
