Our very own Andrew Mulligan is in Air New Zealand's new safety video - who would've thought?!
The new video, which was released this morning and will also hit Air New Zealand flight screens from today, features a bunch of well-known kiwis including NBA star Steven Adams, his sister Olympic legend Dame Valerie Adams, comedian Tom Sainsbury and TikToker Theo Shakes.
We had no idea that Mulls would be featuring in the video til it was released this morning, and we're stoked to see our mate alongside some Kiwi legends.
Basketball is the theme of the new safety video, with Steven Adams versing some kids on a court at the park, before the players transport into an inside stadium filled with a crowd, where Mulls commentates the game.
NZ comedian Tom Sainsbury takes on the role as both a ref and coach, yelling at himself about an "unfair height advantage" that Adams has over the kids.
At half time, Mulls asks Adams how he's feeling, to which Adams replies, "Yeah, well I'm looking forward to the life jacket bit."
Mullsy then looks into the camera saying "oh yeah that does sound really important actually," before demonstrating how to correctly pop a life jacket on in case of emergency. Who would've thought we'd be getting safety advice from Mulls?
Mulls explains that they filmed the video a couple of months ago over a few days, and was quite nervous when it came to filming it.
"There were only five lifejackets, they're quite expensive and you only have so many takes to release the air into the vest, and there's literally dozens, if not, probably over 100 people, literally waiting on you every breath."
Towards the end of the game in the video, Dame Valerie Adams joins the court to help the kids get the final basket and win the game. This video actually marks the first time that the Adams siblings have featured in a professional project together.
Once the game is over and the kids have taken victory, Mulls delivers his iconic line, "Pandemonium! Absolute scenes!"
Well done Mulls - how good.
