To mark the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut EP, Tool have released a "reimagined" version of their 1992 single "Opiate."
The reimagined version, dubbed "Opiate², has been extended to 9 minutes and 54 seconds, and has a more progressive, psychedelic vibe to match their most recent material.
Tool have been performing a really similar version of the revamped tracked since 2016, so a lot of fans will already be familiar with it.
Opiate² is out now on all digital platforms, and will be released on Blu-Ray on March 18th.
This Blu-Ry release will include a 10-plus-minute short film created by visual artist Dominic Hailstone and guitarist Adam Jones (who have both previously collaborated on visual elements for Tool concerts), plus interviews and a behind-the-scenes art book.
The track was released this morning (March 2) and fans are already loving it.
