Trade Me is offering a week of no selling fees till February 26th

Trade Me's new research has revealed that on average, every New Zealander has about 7 pieces of unworn/unused items which leads to 11 million unworn clothing items - that's a total value of around $300 million!

The acceptance and attitude towards secondhand clothing have shifted now more than ever.

The recent research showed that 84% of respondents of millennials stated that they are proud to own secondhand products whereas only 7% were embarrassed.

This week Trade Me wants all Kiwis to join the circular fashion economy.

Trade Me defines circular fashion as the "antidote to fast fashion". Buying and selling pre-loved items help keep clothes out of the landfill and give unwanted outfits a new life.

To initiate and encourage Kiwis to join the circular fashion, Trade Me is letting you sell within the Clothing & Fashion category for free on their platform until 11.59 pm on 26 February 2023.

In doing so, not only are you getting to put some extra money in your pocket, but it's also really great for the planet.
