If you’re deep in the Cubeez craze, just know you’re not alone. Kiwi collectors - big and small - are going absolutely feral trying to track down the buildable blocks.
I’m fully caught up in the madness myself - you can imagine the disappointment of doing a full shop earlier this week only to be told they were out of stock EVERYWHERE.
With supermarkets no longer an option to complete the 40-piece sets, Kiwis are hitting social media and online marketplaces - and it’s getting intense out there.
Facebook Marketplace and Trade Me are popping off with listings. Just search up ‘Cubeez’ and prepare to be shocked at just how many people are making a decent buck or two for their unwanted or spare collections.

Some prices are wild, with unopened packets still raking in some dollars - just on the chance they contain a missing piece.
The highest price across the marketplace platforms was a listing upwards of $600 in Auckland to bulk buy previous supermarket Disney collectible cards along with the Minecraft blocks.
Others are sticking around the $100-$150 mark for 50+ cards. That still marks each packet over $1 each.

Though some people are happy to do a good ol' trade for free with others who have spares to swap.
Someone who has collected plenty is TikToker @c0llect4bles, who's gone viral for filming his hunt for the "ultra-rare" Gold Helmet Makena Cubee.
Apparently, only 50 of these exist in NZ, and after 20 solid attempts and hundreds of packets later, he finally got it.
Imagine how much he could sell that for? Though, he'd probably be better off getting rid of all his double-ups first.
If you have no idea what we’re talking about or why these little cardboard cubes have taken over, where have you been?!
Woolworths teamed up with Minecraft to release the collectible, buildable blocks featuring characters, creatures, and features of the game.
It comes as the 'Minecraft' Movie - filmed here in NZ - is set to drop next month.
So, with swap days popping up all over the country and Kiwis scrambling to complete their sets, have you got any to trade? Or maybe you’ve got a few extra pieces that could make you some cash too.
