Dave Grohl surprised the Coachella crowd over the weekend, jumping onstage to perform a couple songs alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
The surprise performance all went down at the Outdoor Theatre stage on Friday night (April 19), where the Orchestra played a set alongside conductor Gustavo Dudamel, before the Foo Fighters frontman strolled onto the stage.
Grohl performed two songs with the Orchestra and choir, firstly ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood,’ and then the Foo Fighters classic, ‘Everlong.’
The performance marks the first time Grohl has played Foo Fighters music live since August last year. It follows his most recent appearance at the FirstAid charity show in Los Angeles, where he performed with the surviving members of Nirvana and a line up of other guests.
Foo Fighters currently have no scheduled dates to perform.
I won’t lie, I got pretty bloody excited to see this performance, considering we’ve got Blindspott performing alongside a 30 piece Philharmonic Orchestra at this year’s Rock 2000 Live Event.
