Season 5 of The Handmaid's Tale has been set for release, and best news.we won't have to wait long!

"Season 5 will premiere on September 14," the post said, accompanied two photos of June (Elisabeth Moss) and Serena Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski), who appear to be attending a funeral and are dressed all in black.

After the massive fourth season, who knows what's in store for us in season five.

Showrunner and creator Bruce Miller said about the season four finale; "That moment at the end is her as a mother knowing she had chosen something that makes her feel like she can never be a mother again"

The question is, what's next for Serena now that Fred is gone? Actress, Yvonne Strahovski, spoke about some theories.

The synopsis for season five reads: "June faces consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose."

"The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead's influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power. June, Luke and Moira fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite with Hannah."

Whatever happens in the fifth season, we know we're going to be hooked!
