Olivia Newton-John sadly passed away last year on August 8 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Olivia's daughter Chloe and husband John opened up for the first time on a television interview with TODAY since the star passed away.
For Chloe, she's not Olivia Newton-John, she is just her mama.
"I love my mom more than anything. She's my mama, you know? She's not Olivia Newton-John to me, but I'm so glad that she was Olivia Newton-John for so many people," Chloe told Hoda Kotb.
Olivia's final words for her daughter were "My sunshine..."
Chloe said, "Last words she could say to me was 'My sunshine' ... And right before she lost her ability to speak, she was making jokes.
John Easterling talked about how he feels her presence in the morning or late at night. He also talked about how he speaks with her when he's out playing with the dog or just walking around the house.
John also shared about a very powerful conversation he had with a guy who he was on a plane with:
"A guy I was flying with said, 'You know, John, when you're lucky enough to have found your true soul mate, and you share a heart, when one passes, the other has the obligation to live life for both.'
"That was very empowering and very powerful for me, and, you know, and gave a way forward."
Chloe also expressed how grateful she was to all the people who reached out to her after her mum passed away.
"I am grateful for all of the people who reached out to us and extended their heart and their connection," she said.
