To all the dog parents out there, here are some good news!
To mark International Dog Day this August 26th, Krispy Kreme is celebrating by releasing 'Doggie Doughnuts' for just this weekend ( August 26 - August 27).
Before we get into more information, these doughnuts are not for humans and are only for your pets.
The 'Doggie Doughnuts' are doughnut-shaped biscuits that have been made specifically for dogs by Huds & Toke, a renowned pet bakery in the Sunshine Coast.
"With a firm cookie base and specially designed frosting, our Doggie Doughnuts provide dental benefits and mental enrichment. They're a tasty treat that keeps tails wagging longer, promoting healthier teeth and gums while offering a satisfying chew time," Emma Gibbons, Founder and Director at Huds & Toke said.
The 'Doggie Doughnuts' are inspired by the iconic Krispy Kreme flavours including Original Glazed, Chocolate Cookie, Chocolate Sprinkles, Chocolate Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles and Chocolate Cheesecake.
These doughnuts are incredibly dog-safe and are low in fat and completely free from added salt, sugar, or preservatives.
"The frosting, made from dog-safe ingredients like carob, adds a touch of doggy-approved decadence to each doughnut," the company wrote.
Complimentary pup cups will be given to those doggos who bring their parents via a drive-thru. So make sure you take them along with you when you visit your nearest Krispy Kreme store!
"Our furry companions bring immeasurable love and joy to our lives, and this special treat is a small way to show our appreciation," Olivia Sutherland, Marketing Director at Krispy Kreme ANZ said.
Doggie Doughnuts are set to hit the Krispy Kreme stores and will be available to order online as a six-pack from August 26. It is $14.90 per six-pack.
