Up and coming South Auckland producer Jawsh 685 officially drops his collaboration with Jason Derulo, with whom he made headlines when the US pop star used his popular track 'Laxed' without permission or credit.
Now the pair have made their collaboration official, working together to create and release the full version of 'Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)'.
Jawsh 685 previously said the pair had "unfinished business" having "never come to a deal" regarding his siren beat song, which Derulo sampled for 'Savage Love', which he previewed on TikTok.
Derulo discovered the Manurewa High School student's beat after it blew up on the video-sharing social network, becoming the soundtrack to the Culture Challenge dance trend around the world.
The platinum-selling artist received widespread backlash for failing to credit Jawsh 685, which he eventually did by tagging him on Instagram.
Despite the questions about Derulo's 'Savage Love', which added his own vocals to Jawsh 685's melody as the hook, the new version of the song racked up 316 million views on TikTok.
Meanwhile, Jawsh 685 caught the attention of Columbia Records, who signed the 17-year-old to a record deal.
'Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)' appeared on music streaming platforms at 12am on Thursday morning.
