Here’s everything you need to know about Pearl Jam’s New Zealand gigs

The Pearl Jam boys are in our country! Check out your gig guide for their shows here.

Pearl Jam are officially in New Zealand - and we couldn’t be more amped for Eddie Vedder and co. to take the stage for their Dark Matter World Tour.

They’re all set for two performances at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium this Friday (November 8) and Sunday (November 10), and we wanna make sure you have all the details before you’re at the gigs.

Haven’t got a ticket to Pearl Jam’s NZ shows yet? Grab one now. Plus, if you hear a Pearl Jam Double shot today (November 6) or tomorrow (November 7), call up and you could score a double pass!

Check out our gig guide below.

Before the Friday gig...

Got no plans before the gig on Friday? Come join us at Epic Taproom in Onehunga for our Pre-Jam for Pearl Jam! Doors open at midday, and from 3pm, Jay and Dunc will be broadcasting live. Plus, we’ll have 200 free rock singlets from 3pm - first in, first served.

Exclusive Merch...

You bet the band are selling exclusive New Zealand merch at their shows!

They’ll be selling Auckland event posters, tees, Auckland event jerseys, skateboard decks, koozies, tokens, and stickers.

Plus, for both their Australian and New Zealand shows, you’ll also be able to buy an Outta My Face Dog Leash, a Spectrum Beach Towel, and Outback Surf Hats.

Here’s the dates and times that you’ll be able to get your hands on merch at the stadium:

  • November 7th: 12 - 6pm

  • November 8th: 11am til end of show

  • November 9th: 12 - 6pm

  • November 10th: 11am til end of show

If you're planning on buying a poster, you can bring your own poster tube or purchase one at the merch booth. Cash and card will be accepted for all merch.

Set Times...

According to Go Media Stadium Mt Smart:

- Gates open at 5pm

- Show starts at 6pm

Setlist...

One of the epic things about Pearl Jam’s gigs is you can never predict the setlist. Before each show, Eddie Vedder sits down with a list of all of Pearl Jam’s songs and hand picks the songs he’s keen to play each night.

While we have no idea what he’ll decide to pick for our shows, we’ve had a look at all of Pearl Jam’s latest setlists, and picked out the handful of songs that they’ve played pretty consistently lately.

Songs Pearl Jam have played most consistently at their recent gigs:

Alive

React, Respond

Wreckage

Even Flow

Dark Matter

Do the Evolution

Yellow Ledbetter

Corduroy

Black

Given to Fly

Daughter

Porch Scared of Fear

But when it comes to Pearl Jam - we truly won’t know what the setlist will look like til they’re onstage, playing it out in front of us - which is pretty special.

Travel...

Auckland Transport has buses, trains and ferries running on Friday and Sunday to help you get to the gig.

Buses

There’s frequent bus services running from New Lynn, Onehunga, Sylvia Park and Point Chevalier to Go Media Stadium.

They also have a special event bus running from Albany to Station Road every ten minutes from 3-6pm on Friday and Sunday, and one that’ll take you back to Albany after the event.

The special event buses are free with your ticket, you just need to show it to the driver when you hop on.

Head to Auckland Transport here to check out all the information about buses, including the timetables and how to plan your journey.

Trains and Ferries

There’ll be frequent train services from Waitematā Station (Britomart) to Penrose Station, running every 10 to 20 minutes. Plus, the Downtown Ferry Terminal is close to Britomart and various bus routes.

Note that there’ll be no parking at Go Media Stadium and nearby roads will be closed to non-residents.

Check out all the train and ferry info, and any other transport information from Auckland Transport here.

If there's anything else you need to know about the concert, check Auckland Stadium's page of FAQs, which includes info about what you can and can't bring to the venue, drop off and pick up options, what roads will be closed, and more.

Our very own Westie Lee headed to Pearl Jam's Fenway Park gig in Boston last month and wrote a review on how incredible the gig was, which has got us even more amped. Check out Westie Lee's review here.

We are beyond stoked that the band are back in New Zealand for the first time in ten years. We’ll see you at the pre-jam on Fridee!
