Fans praise Jason Kelce for smashing student's phone over Taylor Swift comment

"You cannot harass people and not expect a response.”

Jason Kelce has gone viral after angrily smashing a college student's phone.

The moment heated up over a homophobic slur targeting his brother Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

Kelce was video walking through a crowd of Penn State University students in Pennsylvania over the weekend, and while many were shouting to get his attention, it was one heckler that got Kelce riled up.

“Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f****t for dating Taylor Swift?” the young guy is heard yelling in the background of multiple videos doing the rounds online.

Refusing to let the comment slide, Kelce did an immediate 180 turn, ripped the phone out of the rude student's hand and slammed it against the concrete.

He picked up the phone and walked away while the heckler shouted for him to give it back.

In another video obtained by TMZ, Kelce repeatedly asked the heckler, “Who’s the f****t now?” after getting shoved by the student.

While fans don’t condone the language used, they are right behind Kelce backing him for standing up to the disgusting behaviour of the student.

“Good for Jason Kelce! Such a great brother,” wrote one fan. “If I had a brother, I'd hope he'd stick up for me like that. Who even still uses the F-Slur in 2024!? That heckler was an asshole and got what he deserved!”

Another said: “Jason Kelce was right. People need to be put on notice. You cannot just endlessly harass people with your idiotic hatred and not expect a response.”

“Special thanks to Jason Kelce not only for standing up for his family and Taylor Nation, but also for every person, gay or straight, who has ever had a homophobic slur lobbed at them by an insecure man child,” a third added. “We salute you!”

Others believe Kelce repeating the slur was uncalled for, despite the hateful comment from the student.

“I can’t think they were both wrong? Like no matter how much someone pisses me off, I don’t just start saying slurs. Even if someone else did,” said one X user.

Another agreed: "I've got no problem w/ the phone. I do have a problem with him using the same homophobic, bigoted slur, repeatedly, that was directed at his brother. Got a big problem w/ that. If he can't call your brother that, you can't call him-or anyone-that. It's a pretty simple concept."

Jason Kelce has not commented on the situation since, but is due to release an episode of his podcast 'New Heights' with Travis on Wednesday.
