A deleted Instagram post has put even more gas in the 'Fred Again to New Zealand' rumour tank.
Kiwi drug testing organisation Know Your Stuff NZ wrote: "A little bird has told us there's going to be a bit of a shindig happening at Waitangi Park this Friday evening" and it "promises to be big one."
That post was made around two hours ago but has since been deleted and reposted with a new caption that reads: "Hi Wellington friends! What are you doing on Friday after work?".
The deleting + rewording has piqued the interest of Welly Fred Again fans, especially since the British DJ has finally wrapped up his Aussie tour. He's yet to announce NZ shows but did post a 'Lord Of The Rings' scene to his IG story before hitting Australia.
Apparently, one of the Homegrown stages is still up from over this weekend, despite the others being taken down. Waitangi Park is where the Jim Beam Park Stage was located. That's a fkn solid clue if I've ever seen one.
The famous Welly street festival Cuba Dupa is on this weekend too, leading people to theorise that Fred will be playing a show at Waitangi Park on Friday and do a pop-up during the festie on Saturday.
All these rumours come just days after a supposedly leaked screenshot of Fred's tour schedule sent Kiwi fans into a frenzy. It's completely unconfirmed, but it shows Fred coming to Auckland on the 22nd of March and doing two shows at Spark Arena the following week.
Interestingly, there's no Welly on the sheet, so either way, somebody here is wrong or everyone's right. I'm in a good mood so I'm betting on that second option.
If you just can't satisfy your Fred cravings, check out this flip of Lorde's 'Tennis Court' remix and 'leavemealone' he whipped out during his Gold Coast show.
We'll let ya know if and when he announces Kiwi shows.
